[FIC] Cyclical 10/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

Oookay. This was pretty hard to write and I apologise in advance if it's clunky or jarring in any places. My beta and I spent forever working through it and ironing out most of the kinks, but I'm sure there's still a few ones in there and they'll leap out at me after I've posted. :(

I could spend all night waxing emo about how I'm not satisfied with the chapter, but to save us all hours of boredom (:P) I'll just post the thing and run away.

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Length: 6275 words. LONGEST CHAPTER YET.
Character/pairing: House/Cameron
Rating/warning: Nothing too explicit, but a few swear words. M.
Author's notes: Thank yooooooooou, [info]darkenedsakura! We had a lot of trouble with a few lines, but eventually we prevailed. And finally, a Foreman moment~! I couldn't do too much, but hey, he's here!
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

He'd finished his stupid monologue, unable to resist quoting himself. )

Thanks for sticking with this, guys! Hopefully just one more chapter to round it up.

[FIC] Cyclical 9/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

Wow. This close to the end. It's kind of scary, and a bit daunting. I hope I can tie up all the loose ends in time!

Sorry for the wait on this chapter - my beta was away and I'm reluctant to post anything without her say-so, especially as this part had a Chase-section that I was a bit worried about. Actually, I was worried about everything in this chapter - especially the end - and so I dithered about it for a long while and only actually finished writing it yesterday.

Regardless, I hope it works for you, and I'd love to hear what y'all think about it. *bites hand*

Title: Cyclical
Series: House
Length: 5730 words
Pairing: House/Cameron
Rating/warnings: Um, some swearing. Mentions of A Clockwork Orange. And Chase allusions.
Author's notes: Thanks so much to the tireless [info]darkenedsakura! She made Chase less of a shallow arsehole AND found all my stupid typos. I find intimacy quite hard to write so this chapter made me a bit uncomfortable, and I hope I didn't rush everything. >_>
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

Contrary to popular belief, House used the Internet for more than just porn )

I'm still trying to finish this by Tuesday, but tying it up in two chapters might not work out. *sigh* We'll see.

[FIC] Cyclical 8/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

And I'm back from my trip away! For some reason I couldn't write anything worthwhile at my mum's house - I crossed out and rewrote basically all the ideas I had while there. I did a fair bit of restructuring as well, so hopefully everything still flows and makes sense.

Still not sure as to whether this will be 11 chapters in the end - it might be pushing towards 12 or 13, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I'm really hoping I can wrap it up neatly, and soon! (So tired...all the time...)

But yes, here's the next chapter. Let me know what you think!

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Length: 5866 words
Character/pairing: House/Cameron
Rating/warnings: Blanket M. Nothing naughty this chapter. I don't think there's any swearing either. :O
Author's notes: I am so lucky I rewatched 'Cane and Abel' today, otherwise my Cuddy part would have sucked. Thanks as always to [info]darkenedsakura who applied her mad beta skills even though she's bogged down with schoolwork. ♥
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

A change in their relationship would be a terrible thing )

And now I simply must fall into bed and catch up on sleep. I hope you enjoy!

So...yeah. Not quite sure what to make of this chapter. There are some Wilson moments I'm really happy with, but again, it's only inching the story forward at an excruciating pace. I used maybe one line from my plot outline because I'd already done everything else in the chapter, and I'm really hoping I haven't stuffed up the timeline too much.

*bites hand*

In good news, I finally managed to get season one on DVD, so now I can rewatch all those awesome moments when everyone was still trying to find their niche at the PPTH. I'd really love to go back and do some season one post-eps, but first things first, and this is first. *is tired*

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Length: 5333 words
Pairing: House/Cameron
Rating/warnings: M. Just language, I think.
Author's note: I know not much happens this time around, but I thought it was high time for Wilson to get some thoughts on the situation. And Cameron needed to learn the truth about her vests, even if my most excellent multi-purpose beta [info]darkenedsakura doesn't think she has that many. :P
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

It was only one of a hundred puzzles that had haunted her through the night )

Wilson rules.

Yayyyyyyyy! Over halfway there! I'm probably celebrating prematurely, because I had planned to be at a completely different part of the story by now, which I guess means I'll have to add some chapters to the total count. But, meh. We'll see how I go.

This chapter's a little bit more introspective than the last couple, and it's basically just House and Cameron. I'm not sure why that was such a problem to write, since the story is supposed to be a romance between them, but without the rest of the cast to play off, it was harder to craft dialogue and stuff.

Oh well. Hopefully Wilson will be back again next chapter.

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Length: 3768 words
Pairing: House/Cameron
Rating/warnings: Safe at M. No swearing...not much bad stuff at all, actually.
Author's note: Less exciting than I'd hoped it to be, but at least I finally got them both on the bike. The show seriously needs to do that again. Muchos gracias to [info]darkenedsakura, as always. I'd be lost without you~!
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

Cameron accepted the box and peered inside )

And now I'm quite tired again. Tomorrow, if all goes to plan, I'll be buying season one on dvd. I'm rather excited at the prospect of HQ House on tap.

Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone enjoyed! ♥

[FIC] Cyclical 5/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

Man, it feels so good to be this close to halfway. Soon we'll be on the long stretch home! (Assuming I was correct in my original assumption. My plot has had a lot of things changed and edited, so who knows what may yet happen).

Anyway, sorry I didn't get to update this last night. I've been running on five hours sleep a night since writing on the story began, and my exhaustion finally caught up to me. It was a good thing in the end: this was probably the easiest chapter to write. Sure, not much happens in it, but it simply flew off the end of my pencil.

I kind of just glossed over my thoughtless wording at the end of chapter four. Hopefully this is okay.

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Length: 3947 words
Character/pairing: House/Cameron
Rating/warnings: Hmm, nothing really bad this time. Mention of fecal matter and obligatory poking fun at Chase. Some swearing. Rating still M.
Author's note: Thanks again to my wonderful beta [info]darkenedsakura. She's so patient with me leaping on msn every night, going, "ZOMG NEW CHAPTER YOU READ PLZ?" Also, it was amusing slipping a cricket reference in. Oh, those crazy Brits. What will they think of next?
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

“Does my coffee have cooties?” )

This was one of the most enjoyable chapters to write, so I hope it conveys in the reading. Not much happens, and yet I think what does occur is very telling. Please enjoy it, and let me know what you think!

[FIC] Cyclical 4/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

Okay, so I took my notepad to work today and wrote half the fic in my breaks and on the bus. The rest I managed to dash out at home, and now it's 2am and I'm tired but I feel happy because I'm another chapter closer to finshing this baby and reclaiming my life.

This chapter is a bit more serious, I'll tell you now it's not as funny in parts. But it has an important development, and there's a note at the end, for people who, like my beta (:P), find the ending somewhat impractical and a little bit implausible at that.

(Remember, it's a cliche. The most important part is to suspend belief!)

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Length: 4087 words.
Pairing: House/Cameron.
Rating/warnings: M still, I guess. Some language this chapter, that's about all.
Author's note: Excuse any mistakes: I'm really, really tired. And thanks to [info]darkenedsakura being the voice of reason, as ever.
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

The diagnosis didn't go so well )

Thanks to everyone who keeps reading, even when my plot devices don't make sense.

[FIC] Cyclical 3/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

Oh man, I'm on fire. I can't remember the last time my muses have been this co-operative, but I'm not questioning it at all. I'm going with the flow. I'm running with it. All those other random sayings that basically translate to "BOOYAH!".

_b

Anyway, here's chapter three. Not as exciting or action-packed as previous installments, but we've got some semblance of plot emerging, as well as a bit of insight into (Cameron's, especially) the characters' heads. Hope y'all enjoy!

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Length: 3832 words
Pairing: House/Cameron
Rating/warnings: I'll keep the rating as M. Some swearing and Chase!abuse.
Author's notes: Thanks as always to [info]darkenedsakura for putting up with my random outpouring of fic. I'm very excited for Wilson finally making an appearance and a brumby is a wild Australian horse. Just so you know. No dream sequence this time, and for that I mourn.
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

Here are chapters one and two.

We still need to come up with a differential )

Thanks to everyone who's been reading and commenting - I haven't been this excited about a story in...maybe ever. I hope this installment doesn't disappoint!

[FIC] Cyclical 2/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

Because I was absolutely floored by the reaction this got yesterday, I sat down and dashed out the second chapter today. I'm loving this 'writing to a guideline' thing and I might even try and plot out everything from now. Alas, poor TS, I knew you well!

A bit of a headsup before you get into it: I like dream sequences. I think that so much can be said in a dream because the subconscious gets a bit of freedom - just look at 'No Reason' to see what I mean. Therefore I tend to rely on dreams a lot, and in this fic they will always be in italics, and unlike the rest of the story, they will also be in present tense. Two parts of this chapter have no names, ie there's no "House said" "Cameron thought", and that's intentional as well.

(Not to be all stuffy, just covering all my bases)

But now, on with the fic! Let's see if the cliche isn't abused too badly in this chapter!

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Pairing: House/Cameron
Length: 3815
Rating/warnings: Definite spoilers for season three in here. Some murky dream imagery and swearing. Rated...M?
Author's note: Again, big fat thank you to [info]darkenedsakura, my House bouncing board. There are two OCs in here, but they're basically irrelevent, just necessary for the scene. Reference to an early episode in the dream sequence, let me know if you catch it. Also, Fuhrer!Cuddy rocks.
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

Find chapter one here.

His voice is low and it makes her tingle )

So, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks to everyone who reviewed last time; if you're still enjoying it, please tell me! I'll see how long I can keep this crazy schedule up. :D

[FIC] Cyclical 1/11 - House, M.D. - House/Cameron

...well, I'm guessing there's eleven parts. I'm still not 100%, but I have planned out each chapter, so unless I combine a couple or extend some, that's how many there should be.

So. It had to happen eventually. I get an obsession, I throw myself into the obsession by reading lots of fic and then writing my own. Here we are at the beginning of the cycle, and I can only hope I don't fizzle out before the end is out.

This one...it's probably been done to death. I know it has in other fandoms/books/movies, but the reason the idea lingers is because it works in some way. It strips characters back to basics, turns them raw, makes their emotions honest and real because there's no preconceptions. What am I saying?

HERE BE AMNESIA!FIC

Yeah, I didn't think I'd write one either. My standards drop every day. :P

Let's see how I go.

Title: Cyclical
Series: House M.D.
Pairing: House/Cameron
Words: 2972
Rating/warnings: M, I think. There's some blood and gore but hey, it's a medical show. A couple of bad words and violence.
Author's note: Beware the cliched fic. Also, integrated spoilers through the fic to 3.04. And the first scene is in present tense; subsequent ones are in past tense. There is a reason. Thanks to [info]darkenedsakura for getting me into House and being my beta. ♥
Summary: A moment changes everything. Not all change is bad.

The change was a good sign. He was moving on. )

Please let me know what you think!
